DALLAS (July 25, 2016) – Dallas-based ad agency, LOOMIS has won the Silver award for Small Agency of the Year in the southwest from Ad Age, a leading source of news and intelligence for the marketing and media community. The Small Agency Awards are the premier honors saluting outstanding work created by independent agencies with 150 or fewer employees.
The Small Agency Awards were launched eight years ago to ensure that the groundbreaking campaigns and innovative brand ideas generated by smaller companies receive the recognition they deserve.
A factor in achieving this distinction has been the agency’s ability to overcome adversity from the loss of a major client in 2013 to doubling revenue and setting a new record for LOOMIS over a 24-month period.
“Our secret weapon has been our well-established agency culture; it’s something we’ve worked very hard to create and cultivate over the past 15 years,” said LOOMIS President Mike Sullivan. “While the fabric of our culture was naturally tested through our trials and tribulations, it’s proven to be the magnetic force we’ve needed to attract critical opportunities for expansion and growth. Our team has absolutely transformed the agency.”
The Small Agency Awards were presented during the annual Ad Age Small Agency Conference, which brings together hundreds of marketing, advertising, design, media, and brand professionals from around the nation to explore trends and issues impacting the nation’s small advertising agencies.
“This recognition proves without a doubt that amazing work does not only come from large agencies, and that the caliber of small shops is rising every year,” said Ad Age Editor Ken Wheaton. “We had a flood of really excellent entries from many corners of the world and the judging was extremely difficult.”
In addition to Small Agency of the Year, LOOMIS has been named among the best workplaces by the Dallas Business Journal and the Dallas Morning News for the second year in a row.
