Memorial Day 2018 – We Will Remember

On Monday, Americans will observe Memorial Day in remembrance of the men and women who died while serving our country in the armed forces. It’s a national holiday we’ve observed every year since 1868 and a day that only becomes more sobering as years pass and more tombstones are required.

Most of us will never comprehend the sacrifices made by those in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard, or that of their families. But for one special day each year, we can take time to stop, remember and pay these heroes the respect they so richly deserve.

Few genres of music bleed red, white and blue like Country music. You can see it in their support of our troops, but even more in the anthems they write. In honor of Memorial Day and America’s military families, we’ve created a special playlist on Spotify called “For My Country” featuring 32 country tracks that celebrate those who have fought, and often died for our freedom.

This weekend, we invite you to take a few minutes among the hotdogs, the picnics and the Indy 500 to enjoy this playlist and say a prayer for those who defended our freedom.
